The mission of The OBX Swim Club resides within the idea that swimming should be fun, challenging, and rewarding for the children and families who take part in the program. 

The Outer Banks Swim Club and its coaches subscribe to a philosophy of teaching and training that provides for maximum long-term performances for its swimmers both in and out of the pool. The belief is that through the sport of swimming, our swimmers learn how to not only set appropriate goals but learn how to achieve those goals. In addition, through the sport of swimming they have the opportunity to build, self-confidence, leadership skills, learn to work together as a team,  develop responsibility and accountability, a healthy lifestyle ....and the list goes on.

The Outer Banks Swim Club has a rich tradition of success due to the implementation of this philosophy. Those who begin with the program at an early age and steadily progress through the groups have enjoyed great rewards with their performances both in and out of the pool.

At the end of the day, we strive to not only have fast swimming but to be a positive spot in a young person’s life and compliment the family’s efforts in raising outstanding humans!
